if dishes and laundry are strictly 50/50 chores, then who should mow the lawn, fix the cars, shovel snow and do the household repairs?.........

after reading some housework questions on here im starting to think that the only way to get through to some of these women would be to let a couple of them spend all weekend mowing the lawn, fixing the car, cleaning the garage and running a snake through the plumbing and then still get bitched at when they haven't washed exactly 50% of the dishes.

but then who cares when you can slap a handful of clothes in the washer, watch 45 minutes of tv and then spend 3 minutes hanging clothes up and be done with all her work too.

girls who watch tv should stop crying about video games too, its not like 16 straight hours of lifetime tv, followed by 5 hours of yahoo chat is making your average bltch any more desirable

I would like to put up shades and bought some but when I took the white bit that holds the bulb holding bit off the ceiling it had lots of wires and was confusing as to how I should wire up the new light. I am a beginner and cannot afford an electrician can anyone advise me please?

I am considering purchasing a 1200 watt (max) 10A generator. They are reasonably priced right now. I would think that it should power my furnace in case of a power outage. My furnace is 6 years old. It is a mid-efficiency type with a 4 position blower fan. It is connected to an electronic programmable thermostat. It seems to me if I disconnect it from the house wiring and divert it to the generator, everything should work including the blower fan, gas valve and thermostat. I would think that 1000 watts continuous would be adequate. Do you agree? Is there anything else I should know?

I am a major pack-rat. I have much trouble throwing anything out (I am not talking about garbage, I have not trouble throwing garbage away). Anyway, my home has become seriously congested with various items, some useful and some not. I really need to clean up. Does anyone out there have any tips for me?

I'm noticing a soapy taste in foods cooked in a teflon pot but I'm not sure if it's coming from the pot itself or from the rubber spatula I use to stir food in the pot. (Or maybe it's both.) What's the best way to get rid of that soapy taste? Thanks for your help.

I killed my entire lawn (well, really broadleaf weeds mostly) with Round up Herbacide last spring and after it turned completely brown, I ran a core aerator over the entire area and then spread out tall fescue seed and then starter ferlizer. I followed the recommendation for the amount of seed. And luckily for me, it rained every other day for 2 weeks after that, so I was expecting great lawn. However, I recieved about half weeds (different then before) which looked almost like crabgrass or dallas grass, maybe it was. So eventually when summer came , you know what happened. So I am stuck with a weedy lawn again.

Where did I go wrong? What should I do this year to get a nice lawn established?

I've got three old MasterLocks i found and i can't figure out the combinations on them..it would be cheaper to buy new ones rather than to send them in to be figured out and i've used my stethoscope but haven't had any luck..if anyone knows of how to figure this out i would appreicate it, especially if i don't have to start the dialer at 0-0-0 and work my way up...

I live in a neighborhood where many people chop their Crepe Mrytles down to short little stubs before every winter , I just think it looks so ugly, and does not look good for them, in my opinion.

I just slightly trimmed the top off of mine. (just barely in fact). IS it really better to chop them down like that?
