Put washing up liquid on the stain, pour on boiling water and pop it in the wash.

You should circle the stain with permanent marker so you can see that it has actually been removed.

Well, not too sure about the oil stains but I once had a real silk dress that I dribbled curry onto. After being sent to the cleaners and coming back still with curry stains on it and trying all kinds of tricks that didn't work, my Mother grabbed the dress, dunked it up and down in cold water and hung it on the line to dry. I thought that was the end of the dress, I mean, it was Real silk! But it worked! I've tried it since with all kinds of stains and 90% of the time, cold water works. No detergent or soap tho. Good luck!

I don't know about curry but, my husband is GM of a restaurant and comes home every night with oil stains on his shirt from leaning against something with oil. I pour laundry detergent on the stain, rub it in and let it sit for about 15 minutes before I put it in the wash.

Try Murphy Oil soap. It takes out most stains on clothes. Dampen stain with water. Rub a little on the stain. Let it set for about 20 min. then wash as usual.
