I installed a new sink and fixture in my bathroom. The old sink had great pressure, but the new sink has hardly any water pressure at all. The valves are opened up all the way and the new lines are the same size as the old ones. It's the same pressure with the hot and cold sides and it doesn't increase when both lines are opened. Any suggestions.

I am having a new kitchen fitted. Beech units with chrome handles, black worktop and chrome cooker. What colour (s) of tiles do I use around the worktop and on the floor. This is driving me mad and I need to decide. Don't want anything that will date quickly and I'm not keen on laminate flooring....

I live in a high-altitude area where it is very dry. In one area in my house, it is mostly rug and this one set of light switches and thermostat create the worse shock. I try to not scuff my feet, touch something else first but it doesn't work. I worry more than I should simply because my husband has heart problems, it can't be good for him. Are there some type of attachments or ideas to use that would prevent this?

I have heard from others that you can use this substance called powder water softner and ammonia or vinegar.I am not exactly sure of what to use to bring my pots and pans back to original surfaces.I also saw it on tele once where they used powdered water softener but I can't remember the other thing used in conjunction with it.

I have a warehouse that has a mezzanine with an unpainted plywood floor; the plywood floor is starting to deteriorate and is splintering. Replacing or adding new plywood is not an option.

What can I apply over the plywood to protect it and help stop from further deterioration?

I just purchased a house requiring small repairs. An associates of my Dad offered to repair my ceiling since the sheetrock were loose and the tapes was coming off. He re-screwed all the sheetrock, caulked (or whatever it's called to seal the panels sheetrock together), taped and re-caulked. Everything is now sanded and ready for painting. The ceiling looks so much better! I paid for all the supplies. Thus far I have spent less than $120.

The guy worked hard and came in on five different occasions as he needed things to dry before moving onto the next step. He also sealed a door with a frame and sheetrock and the wall looks like it never had a door. Beautiful!

The rooms where he re-did my ceiling are: Living room with dining room (48x57), hall way and stair way, and my bedroom (15x11). He did not quote me a price. He told my Dad that he'll accept whatever my conscious dictates for all his work.

My question, how much should I pay him?
