Length multiplied by height . For example 8 ft long by 3 feet high equals 24 square feet. You will need to add 10 percent for scrap/cutoffs so a total of 27 square feet would do in this case.

measure the length and width to come up with the area of the wall space, measure the tiles and divide the total area by the area of an individual tile and you should be able to calculate how many tiles you need.

multiply length x height. Then look at the box the tile comes in and it will tell you how many sq feet per box. If you have windows etc, then subtract the square footage for them. Always add 10% for damage/cutting etc.. It's not rocket science. If in doubt call a local contractor and ask for an estimate.

Measuring the wall is a good start. Take the length X height

to calculate tile
go this way, measure the lenght times the with
use inches
figure out what tile you like and its size example 6x6 in inches
or 8x8 or 10x10
then take your measurement of inches and divide the tile into your numebr then plus 10 %
these are extra incase of breakage
