My neighbour has recently poured 4 gallons of goose fat through my letterbox. He also pulled all the plants out of my front garden and sellotaped them to my windows.

Hi, I have to start budgeting to have an enclosed porch put on the back of my house,a single story ranch type. It will be a straightforward building,12x16 constructed on top of a platform much like a deck (to be constructed), standard framing, metal shed type roof. Four vinyl windows, plus sliding doors. The interior would be finished by us to cut costs. I know I will need estimates from professionals as costs vary widely. But I just need a VERY rough idea of what it might cost. Located in the Hudson Valley NY. Thanks

We have a walk in wardrobe (of a sorts) in the main bedroom of our house. The wardrobe backs on to an external wall, and goes over the top of the stars leading from the living room to the first floor.

Recently, we found mould (i think) in the wardrobe. Black spots originating from the bottom corner where the two external walls meet. I have tested the black area with a damp detector, and nothing (although there is something elsewhere in the wardrobe, mid wall).

There is no ventillation in the wardrobe, and I'm hoping it is only condensation. The mould is upstairs, and the rst of the wall outside the wardrobe (stairs, etc) shows no sign of damp.

Help and or solutions? please

I need to send a skirt that's made out of 65% polyster and 35% rayon to my friend, i put gemstone before, i took out and there's all yellow marks (or the left glue) all over the spot where i put the stones.
I hand it to the dry cleaning but they said they can't do anything about it, and if you scrap it off, the string or fabric will come out.
I search all over the place, i tried almost everything include iron, freezing it. I really don't know what to do~ I think because the skirt is made out of polyster, when you scrap off, bits of fabric will come out and i don't want to ruin it since i need to give it to my friend.
what can i do? i don't want to buy extra things to get rid of it, and i need to send off pretty soon

please help~

4 slates flew off my roof last night near the guttering. I can see a couple of thin wooden rails on the asfelt, that the slates go on. If I buy some new slates is it just a case cutting them to size with my tile cutter and making a few holes and popping a few nails in to keep them fixed to the roof?

In our house we have an old cellar which, 12 years ago was tanked out with bitumen and is now used as my study. We had a point under the stairs where the emulsion paint bubbled, so when it was decorated, some protective stuff was put under the paint under the stairs. However, the damp has broken through again and I don't know what to do next.
