We have a problem at home with the heating ystem. the radiators all over the house are only going luke warm to mid hot, and as a result the house is freezing. On top of that, if we want piping hot water from the hot taps, we need to have both the heating and hot water on all day at least. Without doing this, the hot water is barely warm.

Any ideas what the problem could be? and or the solution?

I've heard that bleeding the last radiator on the system until water is hot should do the trick. is this true? HELP

The detergent was in there for about three months when the bottle it came in broke and I had to find a replacement. Well, I finally used it all up, and I've washed it about eight times with dish soap and it still smells like Ocean Breeze or some ****. Is it safe to drink from? Are the detergent molecules locked in the plastic or is there some method to get rid of the stink? I'd really rather not throw this nalgene out, it's got such character!

Can someone kind enough to tell me about the height of a tree allowed in your garden before your neighbour can complain under the recent legislation and have they got the right to cut the tree down without your permission.

There is a house near me that is going to be torn down this summer. There is an established Meyer Lemon that produces huge Lemons. I can't dig up the tree, but I would like to take the biggest cutting I can and grow a new tree. How can you get a branch to root? 30 years ago in Hawaii, I saw someone scrap the bark off of an 8" segment of a branch of a tangerine tree, apply root-tone (--I think), and then apply muddy, wet moss and leaves over the exposed area (-- I think), and then they wrapped plastic all around and then wire tie the ends. The only thing I am 100% sure of is the plastic and the wire and that they came back a couple months later and sawed off the tree branch and it had grown roots under the plastic deal. Then they planted it in their yard. It grew. This is how I remember it being done. Does anyone know exactly how to do this?

I turned the water off the other night to fit a new washing machine, when i've tried to turn the water back on, the valve on the main just keeps turning and turning, and won't switch anything back on. Is this just a case of replacing the valve or is it a more complicated (and expensive) job?

I'm house hunting for my first house. There's one I'm interested in. It has an aerobic sewer system. Will these systems make my electric bill high? Also, how much does it cost per month or year for a maintainance contract?

I know nothing about this stuff. Can they be changed back over to septic? If anyone knows the real cost per month to own these let me know. I've researched and found that they are more maintainance and money to operate. Just want to know how much?

Want to know if I should disregard this house because of this system. I don't anticipate having a lot of extra money every month to deal unexpected things like this.

Thanks in advance for any help!

hi, i'm going to be starting an ebay store soon and would love some store name suggestions and advice.

My store is going to contain funky thrift store-flea market-antique-vintage stuff for the home. I love going and looking for cute stuff that others pass over that are incredible finds. Think french country, shabby, old, rusted with character.

I am having trouble naming the store- would like the name to include either flea, shabby, vintage something like that so people will get an idea that it is good stuff and not just crap. Something girly and catchy.

The Shabby Flea?

Flea For You?

thanks!!

My boyfriend and I are painting his apartment and attempting to experiment with a few creative designs. I started this really awesome art nouveau inspired design with space and lines (however vague that sounds), but the lines won't stop bleeding through the tape. I outlined my designs with masking tape, lightly and carefully painted them in, waited for the paint to dry, and removed the masking. Each time, my lines were frayed and appeared lacey and bled. We're trying to achieve a pristine, professional-looking effect. We've tried just about everything the either of us could think of combined. What can be done to pull off the look of the effect we're going for with clean, straight-edged (unbled) lines?

I ran out of ALL of my cleaning products. How much do you think it will cost to restock my cubboards? laundry detergent, laundry softener, bathroom cleaners, kitchen cleaners, living room cleaners, furniture polishes, window and mirror cleaners ect...
I don't like off brand products cause they don't work as well!
So how much money do you think I will need to take to the store?
My husband is asking how much I will need but I don't know. he usually does the shopping and has been too busy to do it!
