Put the "flower" seeds into a wet paper towel for a few days in your cabinet in the kitchen where it is dark, and after awhile they will germniate and then you can plant them then. We are talking about flowers right? keep the paper towel moist

Growing seeds inside is usually un successful if you do not have good lighting conditions. You could go to the expense of getting a grow light but i guess that depends on how much you want to grow your own seedlings.
Follow the directions on the packet of seeds for depth they need to be sown, use a propagation tray that has a lid, this will help create the warmth and humid conditions they will require. Then use a seed raising mix. At this stage there is no use for fertilisers as it can burn the roots at emergence. Keep moist but not wet as they can get fungal diseases and just drop dead.(Damping Off)
Once they have at least two sets of small leaves they will need taking out, separating and potting into a good potting mix that has a slow release fertiliser added. Makes sure they again they are kept moist but not wet. Happy gardening

A person after my own heart.! Go to a discount store buy one of the pre-made green house boxes, they will have everything you need . They are about 12 x 18 and have little compartments for individual seeds...it comes with a roof type lid to cover with and all of the instructions.......I don't think they come with seeds. Pick easy plants..........if its a veggie garden go with tomatoes. cucumbers, radishes, lettuce and some blue lake bush beans and a few green onions.......providing that you like those things...Don't over water...Don't set in direct sun...don't let the get cold..
Infact once you have watered the seeds and put on the top you probably won't have to water again.
Condensation happens inside which is usually enough.
When your seeds grow they will come up and have 2 leaves they aren't ready yet...they will get another set of leaves called their "First true leaves" then you can remove the lid and let grow until ready to transplant to the ground. Don't forget to water until you transplant don't WATER LOG though.
If it's Flowers you want it's almost winners choice MOST, NOT ALL, are easy to grow. Follow the same steps.
H APPY GARDENING !

What I do is put a piece of plastic over the pot and seal it with a rubber band.
That does two things. It creates a greenhouse effect and two, keeps your tiny little seedlings from drying out.
I murdered some gorgeous triple devil's trumpet detoura seedlings by leaving their tender shoots in the hot sun. I got busy with work and they were all destroyed by the old Sol.
After they are more mature you can take the plastic off.
Don't let them dry out!

there are directions on the pack of the seed packs for sowing indoors early. you may need grow lights. good soil, fertilizer and water. sometimes covering with plastic to create a terrarium effect is helpful.
