bag of ballons (not the expensive helium type) blow them up and add curly ribbon in bright colors- curl them on edge of scissor
hang curly ribbons from balloons and also lay colorful curled ribbons around living room. Ties several balloons together and blow them in different sizes to create added interest. You could also get a few real flowers or cheapy silk flowers at michales or jo anns fabrics- and place the curly ribbob around there base for added color- kinda like small boquets. If you are in HS, take some old school newspapers an pin to walls- attach some of you baby photos on one for all to see and on another, photos of you and your friends. Have yearbooks out from HS, junior high, and gradeschool. How about a cute guy poster at walmart and play hang the bowtie on the hunk... around his neck of course! Anyway, have fun whatever you decide. Happy Birthday.

sounds like a fun party..
lots of balloons, skating and movie things, like hot chocolate, marshmellows, movie tickets, those black and white faces from the theatre, popcorn, sodas, have your cake decorated with the skating theme, you can even get a picture of skaters and have them put it right on the cake. my sister once did a hockey birthday cake for my nephew, with actual hockey figurines a hockey field goalie, everything, all 3 dimensional. have lots of pillows around for laying around, getting warm after skating and watching the movies on. pick your favorite couple of colors, maybe use the black and white from the theatre faces, use those colors for your paper products, glasses, cups, balloons,
have fun..
and happy birthday
