ok my water heaters pilot light went out. so we relit it. and as it turns out the pilot light goes out everytime the water heats up to the desired temperature. so i have to relight it like four-five times a day. k this happened over thanksgiving and we were FINALLY able to get someone out here with the 'right' part to fix it, the thermocupler. But after the guy left what does it do, goes out again.

So does anyone know what could be causing this to go everytime it reaches its desired temperature.
Thanks in advance.

This old house have no tub/shower surrounding/tile just flat walls. The plan is to install a tub/shower surrounding but I have been struggling the past 3 months to keep mildew away from where the tub connect to the wall. I have tried several mildew removers and it seems to "eat" the wall. What do I treat the wall with before installing the surrounding?

My roommates and I were startled when a live squirrel ran across our living room floor and hid behind the TV. We tried to herd it out the door but instead it was able to hide itself behind a water heater in a utility closet. We cant get at it now. What should we do?

They are 100 yr, thin, pitched. How else do I have to maintain them? Pressure relief values and square bolts on end of each...but none of my self-appointed advisors know HOW to do it, alone (mostly likely) or with help (possible)!
