Paint the walls with chalkboard paint. Set out containers with colored chalk for you guest/client to use.

An old type typewriter for display on a table would be a conversational item, or a old phone. Or the history of the town that you have your office, you know pictures and such.It all depends on what you like. Happy decorating!

would be helpful if you'd identify the type of business being conducted in the office; dimensions of the room; existing features and paint color;carpet/floor covering; natural light or fluorescent. give us some idea of what there is to work with.
