My family are very short (i.e. less than 5 ft) and are looking to buy a new sofa and sofa bed. Unforetunately most sofas are designed for people of average height. We are looking to buy a sofa designed for the comfort (and to give better back support) to short people. Thanks

After installer left, had no hot water in new kitchen sink. Had it elsewhere in house though. I adjusted supply valve and got mild lukewarm water and low flow. Also got big leak at supply valve joint so had to shut valve off. Now it's the weekend and will get no service til next week, what to do??

The door is the original front door on a 1934 house. We have added a porch. After stripping it with a combination of hot air blower and Nitromorse there are a few holes that need filling. Also some dark drip marks and dark areas. What shall I finally use as a cleaning agent and what shall I apply to give it a good natural wood finish? When it is ready I shall insert the leaded glass panel which I have comptetely re-leaded. Clever girl!

And I mean by mistake, not something you "dropped" on purpose.

Follow-up question: Where's the best place to buy a new mobile phone? Mine's got water damage.

You know When Lloyd Grossman goes about properties in 'Through the Keyhole', then enters the bedrooms and goes in and finds an ...ahem, 'embarssing' article in the bedside cabinet.
What is in your bedside cabinet?
Lets keep this reasonably clean folks!

I'd like to know if there is some way to do this. Also, is there a way to track the one apartment's usage of the water heater?

There are 9 units in this building, but we only want to track the usage in one apartment, separate from the others.

A normal gas stove produces a blue flame from a regular LPG & does not leave a black burn under a pot or pan. When the flame became yellow in time, it marked a nasty burn under the pots or pan. These burns are messy to clean & needs a lot of effort & water to remove aside from the cleaning tools to use which we need to re-clean to remove the burns.

My Kenmore dishwasher is leaving a powdery residue on my Loc and Loc plastic ware storage containers. This is not "etching" because the residue rinses clean under running tap water. I have normal city water - neither hard nor soft. I do not use a water softener. I've tried less detergent, more detergent, rinse aid and no rinse aid, hotter water and less hot water, long cycles and short cycles, air dry and heat dry. The plastic ware is washed on the top shelf.

I use Cascade Shine Shield Clean Rinse Formula detergent and Jet Dri Liquid Rinse Aid in the machine's dispenser.

Anyone have any ideas? All of the other dishes are coming out sparkling clean but the plastic issue is really bumming me out...

This is my 2nd winter in this apartment, avg gas price per heating (a month) is about $200-250. It says on the bill that gas is like $12 per unit--whichever unit they measure by.

Is it better to just use these radiator heaters? Would it be much cheaper to use these since it's using electric or what?
