My family are very short (i.e. less than 5 ft) and are looking to buy a new sofa and sofa bed. Unforetunately most sofas are designed for people of average height. We are looking to buy a sofa designed for the comfort (and to give better back support) to short people. Thanks

No such thing unless it's custom made. By reducing the size of the sofa bed, you'd reduce the depth of the sofa seat and that's just not practical. In the same way, they don't build them for tall people. They're bog standard average.

i have never heard that sofas are uncomfortable because they are too long.
