I hired a dress for a Christmas ball, which is handmade & has no labels. I dont know if its real satin or a sateen effect. Its due back tommorow, and last night I noticed a few small black marks,so I washed the affected areas with water. The marks have gone, but where I wet the dress has now left water marks!!! If the hire place people notice & charge me the deposit Ill have to give them £60!!! Is there anything I can do? Would they come out if drycleaned (although dont really have the time for this now) Thanks!!!!

I bought a used electric dryer, It was in great condtion and worker wonderfully the first few weeks but all of a sudden it stopped putting out hot air and now only cold air.. Everything is working fine expect for the air not being hot. i tried to adjust the settings and even cleaned out the lil bit of lint that was in the dryer and still have had no results... What can I do to fix this problem so I can start using my dryer again? Serious answers only please..

I have a large driveway. 50% of it is nasty old concrete the rest is rough soggy turf. The land is soft so tarmac is out of the question.
With a limited budget whats the best way of doing the whole job ?
Should I dig up the concrete or go over the top of it with hardcore etc ? I estimate I need 40mt of hardcore !

We are having a basement cellar converted into a lounge. We understood that we would just need it tanked but now our builder says we need to install a delta system with a floor pump. Its coming out at about £4000 more expensive. Does this sound right? He seems to be a nice guy but we know nothing about it and before we pay up I want to be sure he isn't taking us for a ride!

I live in a multi storeyed apartment where pigeons usually come flying into the balconies. It makes my balcony so dirty that I am unable to use it. I have heard about the bird net which can be used to prevent the birds from entering it. I need to know how far it is effective. Pleeeez help!!!!

My mother passed away last week. Being the executrix of her estate, I'm in charge of liquidating her things like jewelry and other antiques. First, what is the best way to go about selling items - lawn sale, antique dealer, auction? Secondly, I want to make sure I get a fair market value for the stuff. I could hire an appraiser, but they don't work for nothing and would probably charge more that the stuff was worth. Antique dealers only give about 10% of the value. A lot of the furniture isn't in very good condition. I looked on the Internet, but its difficult to find the EXACT same things. Need some serious advice here. Thanks.

It says cool iron on the tag of my shirt, so that means just iron it without being plugged in? Also, it says do not iron the decorations, so what can I do about that?

Thank you.
