Surgical Spirit works everytime - cheap too. If you have children, it's also very good for removing the residue left on the skin after a plaster has been worn.

There were so many woodworking plans with this collection and you will not believe this but there are over thousands plans in the one package deal. Go here https://tr.im/bkxgu
This is really something to find that many all together. For someone like me who is just really starting to get involved with woodworking this was like letting me loose in a candy store and telling me I could have anything I wanted. That was my dream when I was a kid.

The best & easiest way to get it off is WD40 works on any surface. Spray a bit on then rub with a bit of kitchen roll or soft cloth. Works a treat!

If your in the UK and get those catalogues through your door selling cleaning stuff then they sell "sticky stuff remover! but I find warm soap and water usually does the trick using a sponge scouring pad.

Try a product called "De-Solv-It". It is great for removing adhesives. You can find it in the household cleaners section at your local retailer.

the reason eucalyptus trees were put on this earth was to take away left over stickeyness and to help unblock your nose and get the mucas out your body when you have a cold and ( just wanted to give u another use if u bought it) don't put it in your eyes (it's pungent like mentol) or on untreated wood but other that that it works so well i think that it was put here to wait in the sun til we invented stickyness :)

Rubber cement thinner is best choice for paper products; harder to find since commercial art went to computers. Use Q-tips or paper towel to apply and soak up residue. Evaporates instantly, leaves no stain and paper surface is ready immediately. Also picks up ink stains, paraffin, and cleans up desktop and computer stuff. See art supply and office supply stores. Gassy odor dissipates quickly.
"Goof-Off" works for everything. ~$3.50 at drugstore, hardware store, etc.
Even works for duct tape residue and some decals. Oily odor.

If you use a medical "skin" cleaning swab which contains alcohol, the stickiness melts away without having to use too much elbow grease!

Lighter fluid - the stuff for "petrol" rather than butane, cigarette lighters - will shift it. Very good for the sticky residue left by labels on glassware, and that sort of thing, too.
