My local fireplace dealer stated that I had to replace my fireplace because I had a 3 ft flood in my home. That it would rust from the inside out. It's a basic prefab fireplace and I can't find any information on the internet regarding rusting of the unit, not even at the manufacturers website.

Where i work we use power washers to clean, machines are rated at 1500 psi, the problem is that hoses get small ruptures and instead of replacing a $110.00 hose each time i want to repair it so hose can be used again

I had a small d/s loo put into my house. The pedestal sink is small and I want to BUY a tiled splashback that can just be stuck onto the wall - is this possible.. or do I need to get hold of a dozen tiles and get it done properly? I'm sure I remember these from years ago!

I have some shirts (cotton/poly) that I use for work and some of them are very faded and do not look good. I wanted to try to use color dye on them but I don't want to mess up the embroidery on them that is a different/lighter color. Basically, I don't want the whole shirt one color. Are there any tricks to prevent the lighter stiching from the darker color dye?

Thanks

hi there, In my room i've stuck some sticker which is a size of A4 papers. And i'm trying to remove them but if i pull them out there will be some left still stuck, so i want to remove the whole sticker easily. Please try to tell me about chemicals which are present in home (salt, lemon, vinegar etc.) which will help to remove them.
By the way, I know that if there are stickers stuck on glass and heated it will be permanent.so i don't need the explaination of it.
thanks!

I'm hoping that the max capacity indicated on a socket is more of a rule-of-thumb. Appreciate anyone's input.

I am looking for a motion lamp that I have seen in about 10 movies. They are always in kids rooms and the project images onto the walls, etc. I can't seem to find them. They are boxed shaped and have had airplanes, shapes, animals, etc images usually used as a night light on a night stand. I am in need of one for my son. I have seen them in Flight Plan, When a Stranger Calls the new one and a few other movies! Help! thank you.

More specifically the batteries of cordless drills. I have a brand name one but both of the batteries it came with have lost it's ability to hold a charge. It is only about a year and a half old also. Replacement batteries are expensive! Is there a trick to revive them?

Hi,

I started a compost pile in last years garden, I raked up all of the leaves, cut the grass, and sucked up the twigs, etc., and mulched everything up and added it to the pile. This reduces landfills, and bagging of debris, it will also give me tons of good soil for next years garden. Will this compost break down by next spring ? I know that I have to "TURN" it, and keep it wet. Is there anyway to accelarate the decomposition of this "Ditritis" material ?

I live in the UK. A storm on Saturday night caused a tree on my land to blow over and partly block a road. At 5.30 am a team from Roads Service came out to cut the branches that were blocking the road. Will I be charged for this and if so any idea how much?

I have an area about 50 ft x 30 ft and it's completely overrun with bamboo. It is overrunning into my neighbor's yard. I need to get rid of this stuff but nothing works. I can't kill it, poison hasn't worked, nothing is getting rid of this damn bamboo (it was here when I moved in). I talked to a woman at the nursery and asked her how to get rid of it - she said pray.

It didn't work.

Anyone else have any great ideas? Thanks in advance!!
