I have a florescent kitchen light thats connected with the typical white, black and uninsulated copper ground wire. I have a vacation timer i want to hook up to it, but you have to plug whatever you want to be timed into this vacation timer. Is it possible to cut the original wiring cable, and install a 3 pronged plug on the orignal cableso it will plug in and work?

I thought about it and unplugged everything from my house. Then I went to see the WatthourMeter outside my house and the disc was still spinning. What should I do? (other than moving out, since a place to rent here is scarce)

We have a 3 panel shower stall - front, side and back. And they are also sealed to the separate tub on the bottom. We removed all the old sealant yesterday. And I mean all of it!! We dug deep between the panels and pulled it all out. Now we are worried that we shouldn't have done that.

That now it will be hard to get the sealant back in between the panels. Was the original sealant applied as they were installing the three pieces? Rather than after they were up - as we are going to now attempt. Would the better way to have done this would be to only remove the surface of the old sealant and then just reapply over what is left deep in the gap?

Any tips on reapplying this sealant now the have removed it all. Would it be good to apply it in two steps. First step, cut the sealant opening very small and squirt a thin line into the gap, then let it cure. Then apply the top strip over that?

I want to set up an outdoor video surveillance and need to know what I need.

1. Need a wireless, solar camera because it will be installed 500 ft from my house. Do they have these?

2. Need an Internet camera that broadcasts on the Internet and saves the images so I can view it while working on the computer.

3. Night vision because there are no street lights here.

Please tell me which online stores have them and step by step instructions if possible.

First of all, I'm terrified of spiders (go ahead and laugh at me if you want.)
I found an egg sack in my Christmas tree after we brought it in. I got rid of it, and thought "problem solved." But evidently it hatched before I found it, and my tree is now infested with baby spiders.
I took the tree outside so they wouldn't over run my house. I know that spiders can survive in the cold, and spraying the tree with pesticides is not an option because:
1. Pesticides are flamable.
2. I have 2 small kids and two cats.

So what is my best option for getting rids of these spiders? (Without trashing the tree and getting a new one, or leaving the tree outside for the whole season.)
