When i hit the start button to start the clothes dyer it makes some sort of rattling, buzzing noise like something is loose in there

It may be that something has fallen through the grill of the inner drum and is now rattling around the outer drum. Either you will need to completely take the thing apart to get whatever it is, or you will live it and hope that eventually it makes its way to the exhaust vent.

My guess would be one of two things is wrong...your fan belt blew out...or your bearings have gone.

Take off the back and if it the belt is broken you are laughing since you can get one for a couple of bucks at any home store. (Take the old one with you to match it up.)

Bearings can be more tricky and you may have to call a handyman.
