Remove the trap. More than likely the wax has`nt gone beyond it. Now use your hot water on it. At this point you won`t force any more wax down the line causing more problems.

Carefully! I agree with the above poster follow his advice before the boiling hot water because otherwise you will shove the wax further into the pipes only to harden again and that will cost more $$$$.

i'm no longer effective about utilising it on plumbing yet, I dabble in making my own candles and offered a candle wax remover for my metallic molds on the craft save. it quite works impressive on my aluminum molds because it purely dissolves the wax even if no longer effective the way it would want to paintings on plumbing. i'd seem on the field so that you will see yet I used my very last little bit of it at Christmas and did not get a sparkling bottle yet - yet I did locate it at Michaels with the candle making resources. wish that enables!

If it was enough to fill the "S" trap under the sink, you should know, then take the trap out and clean it. If it was that much more, call the plumber.

Boiling water and lots of it. As a preventative use one of the drain cleaners that cleans build up in your pipes.

remove the u bend and either replace or try and get the wax out by heating it gently ..stupid thing to do really,lol

dont put boiling hot water, that doesnt quite work, take an empty co2 cartridge and insert about 0.8 ounces of crushed flash powder and put a fuse in the co2 cartridge and light it and shove it in the sink quikly and duck.
