The bulbs are intact and it is a brand new string. One half just doesn't work. I've checked the fuses.

I have a coat that I need to remove ballpoint pen ink from. It's a beige material that's mainly polyester but also has nylon in it. Any ideas? I'd love to be able to do this without ruining it!

Can anyone give me an idea of how much it would cost to rewire a whole house? It's an old 3 bedroom, 3 reception terrace house (early 1900s I guess.) I am based in South West Wales. Thanks in advance.

Ok, My husband and I live in my grandmothers old house. Our windows are sweating terribly.
The windows that are in the house now are only single pane and I know that they let a lot of cold air in. We have been putting plastic over the windows, but haven't gotten around to it yet this winter. I need opinions on what would be the best in the long run. Should we just buy storm windows, or should we hire someone to come and put in brand new windows. I know we would probably have to wait until spring/summer to have this done, but we like to plan in advance. How much does it cost to do either of these options? We have 8 inside windows, and 6 on an enclosed porch.
I am clueless when it comes to home repairs.

Extra info: We heat our home with 2 vent free gas stoves. We also keep a small electric/oil radiator in our bedroom to save on gas.

I have an older advertising clock & a clock guy at the antique show told me there was a clock parts supplier that way located in this area- it was a name like larry's clocks or something like that, but it was in the South.

My silver Skechers were stained by coffee long ago. I tried to wipe it with a wet cloth that time. Now it has a weird patch there. Is it possible to remove old stains? If so, how?

Thanks.
