We closed our pool 2 months ago and after some heavy rains we have almost a full pool again. Has anyone used a seperate pump to pump out the water so we don't have to reopen the pool to drain the water?

I'm going to buy a fridge this weekend. Can I use my suv to take it home? I was told that you have to transport a fridge standing up. Is this so?

I'm trying to figutre why most modern motels, apartments, schools, churches... etc. All have a standard white wall. I know Houses these days (interiors) are painted all sorts of crazy colors. But it seems the default color of choice is white??? How did this come to be???

I have a stainless teel pan at home that, from what I can see, is all metal. So I would expect the handle [also metal and joined to the pan] would also get hot when I boil water in the pan, but the handle doesn't .

I bought this pan about a year ago.

What technology do they use?

if you drop an elongated (a, aa, aaa, c, d etc) battery on its side from about a foot, if its dead it flips on the bounce, if its not it bounces straight. Try it and tell me what you think.

I'm going to be moving into my first apartment on New Year's Day, but I don't have ANY furniture for it. I'm very limited on what I can spend due to bills and the holiday season but I still want my home to look nice. I guess you could say my style is modern/contemporary - I like to decorate with black and white, then add in some colors that pop. I like straight fine edges, accented with wild decorations...

Where can I find these types of items for a low cost???

What the story? Smell of burning wood around the house.
Neighbours next door built an extension. Looks well. But they got a wood burning stove put in. The flue comes to our side of the garden, from the extension, about 12 feet away from our toilet window. So every time the burner is on if the window is open we can smell smoke. The chimney flue is about 3 feet above the roof, which is about 13 feet high.
Just want to know what the normal height for the chimney flues is. How far they should be put away from neighbours windows?

Thanks
