easy way to clean coins, get a large jar, put in hot water, a 1/4 c of vinegar, and 1/4 of salt. Shake vigorusly, then rinse the coins. It will scrub the crud off them.

I would use Coke "The Real Thing" it can clean plenty of metal. I know it works on coins. Plus you can drink what is left over, in the bottle.

I have used ketchup on pennies. I dont think it matters what you clean them with. How many coins have been left in pockets and run through the wash???

Just soak your coins in some regular coke.
After about an hour , they will be clean.
