I have a kenmore model 665, portable dishwasher. It fills with water...but the spray arm never moves...I hear a buzzing noise when the motor should kick on, but it doesn't. The timer rotates to the next cycle, and the water doesn't drain... The heating element comes on at the end and I'm left with a pool of water.

My interent research is leading me to believe something is wrong with the motor. What should I do next?

Does any budding D.I.Y.ers or joiners have any tips on how to fill in the gaps between the floor boards in order to seal in the heat before i stain and varnish them ? Something quick and relatively easy would be appreciated .

I've been told before that if you have finished the roof but leave the windows out wind could damage the roof due to a vacuum being greated inside the house. Would it matter if the windows where in but the roof was not tile for a few weeks. Your advice would be appreciated.

The place where the tap joins the body of the radiator is dripping really fast - it's already soaked the carpet and is coming out through the light fitting downstairs. I've put a basin under the leak and switched off the system, but it's still dripping. Is there any way to take that radiator out of the loop till I get a plumber tomorrow?

Ok, I have a room and the socket connected to my lightswitch just broke... meaning, the switch, as far as I know it, doesn't work, and the only way to get lighting in my room right now is a floor lamp at hte far corner of the room (the corner furthest away from the door).

I was just toying with the idea of installing a motion activated light, with the sensor pointed at my door, and another motion activated light in my walk in closet (which never had any lighting before).

so... good idea, or bad idea? I live in the room by myself and enter and exit it once a day.

My skill level is beginner, I've replaced a socket and a switch, and rewired a 220 socket to two 110s... I've installed a high voltage outdoor lamp in a pre existing circuit, but I've never, uhh... rerouted? redirected? move? a circuit before, so I'm kinda freaked out. Anyone know a good website on wiring?
