I have a kenmore model 665, portable dishwasher. It fills with water...but the spray arm never moves...I hear a buzzing noise when the motor should kick on, but it doesn't. The timer rotates to the next cycle, and the water doesn't drain... The heating element comes on at the end and I'm left with a pool of water.

My interent research is leading me to believe something is wrong with the motor. What should I do next?

It seems to me that you only have two options. Buy a new dishwasher or call for a repair man to give you a price for repair. You have to figure in the age of your dishwasher. It doesn't should to me that the repair is going to be worth it. I'm leaning towards buying a new one. Good Luck.

From my experience, by the time you have the motor replaced on the dishwasher, you'll have nearly the price of a new unit invested. Take that money and buy the new unit, and get the new warranty.
