I used fly spray before to remove perm. marker. It has worked really well on some surfaces, on my walls it worked great, didn't mark the paint at all. Being a child care worker I have come across this problem alot, I've also tried perfume, oven cleaner and other household products. I would suggest trying anything you have lying around, if the only other option is to re-paint, than what have you got to lose?

A friend of mine told me about those Clorox markers that you just wipe over the area. She said they work really really good but I haven't bought one yet to try over the areas I need work on. Good Luck!

You may have to paint the walls but if you do, use a good paint so that the marker doesn't bleed through.

You might try Oxy Clean powder in hot water. You can use a little water to make a paste and let it stand on the ink or in a spray bottle. I've also had luck with Tilex mildew cleaner if I caught the stain fast before it dried in. I used to mix ink for a living and we used a chemical called ID55 that stuff was a miracle, but I have no clue where the company purchased it from. Good Luck!

Sorry to break it to you, but permanent marker is pretty much permanent. Anything that is strong enough to remove it will also remove the paint. Your going to have to just paint over it.
