ever since i moved into my flat, there's been something wrong with my washing machine. I try turning it on, and only a little water will go into the drum.

So I got the plumber round, and he said it was a valve in the cold water pipe, he then went away, came back and fixed that, and then no water whatsoever going into my machine, and now he's saying that it's my washing machine!

It worked fine in my old house, so what else could be wrong with it, I don't have the money to get someone out to look at my machine to then say it's the flat plumbing! and i can't get a different plumber in, because my place is rented so it'll be breaking my contract :(

Any ideas?

I found one water bug (it looks exactly like the pics I've seen on here) in my bedroom of all places on the ceiling. I also found one a few weeks back under my dresser just a few days after we moved into our new house. Other than that, I haven't seen any others. Should I call an exterminator or just deal with the occasional shock of a huge bug in my bedroom? I have a crawling baby and pets so I am afraid to use pesticides in my home.

but this is the rain season. I put the clothes over the couches to dry, which take about two to three days. Does all this drying have any bad effect on the fabric or couch sponges (Mildew, bacterial growth etc.)? Does the water evaporate from the clothes into the air or does it sink into the couches? I haven't found anything but I was warned not to do so.

I want to kill these little &%^$#@'s! They keep us up at night, they are ruining our house chewing holes, and Im sure destroying the insulation in the attic. And I read that they are a fire hazard because they can chew wires. I did some research to get rid of them but I want to hear from people who have had this problem and found something that actually works. Please help me get rid of these damn things?!

I brought back a few small sea sponges from the Gulf Coast. So far I've just rinsed them off and soaked them for a short time in a baking soda/water solution. They are outdoors drying but still have a fishy smell. Any help would be appreciated. : ) Happy Holidays!

The only thing that isn't working is the thermostat and furnace. BTW when I had put batteries into the thermostat it came one but the furnace still won't work.
