The condo I'm renting is all electric and last night the thermostat screen was completely blanked out and my furnace won't come on. All of the other eletric is still working in the apartment. The only thing that isn't working is the thermostat and furnace. BTW when I had put batteries into the thermostat it came one but the furnace still won't work.

All circuit switched to on. None of them say off. Should I just flip all of them to see if that will turn the thermostat back on?

Call the Landlord. You said you are renting. Why haven't you done this already? It could also be a fuse, maybe tripped in your breaker box, or there may be a reset switch on the furnace itself. Don't just flip the switches at random, bad idea. Hopefully they are labeled, maybe one of them is SLIGHTLY tripped...look for one to be a little off normal (slightly tripped). I suggest looking for a reset switch ON THE FURNACE ITSELF.....the one on my furnace looks like a light switch.

First things first, be sure the batteries are installed correctly. Second check the breaker box for a tripped breaker- likely a double 60 amp or larger, finally be certain the power switch to the fan on the outside of the furnace is turned to the on position. If all this fails call your landlord for instructions on what he wants you to do. Good Luck! Note: do not pull the panel off the breaker box or mess with any loose wires around that furnace the amperage there is enough to kill you.

The thermostat itself could have a loose connection. Take it off the wall and check to make sure that the wires are secured to the unit.
It isn't likely though that any fuses have blown or circuit breakers tripped.

Try checking the fuse box for a blown fuse, it should be somewhere around your condo. Like by your water heater or in a hall closet on the wall.

Does one of your fuses in the box have an orange color next to the switch? Sometimes it might be red, but it signifies the fuse has blown, it wont always move the switch.
