You will never get rid of the roaches. Never! They just don't die. Try raid spray or bombs.

I had a crazy relative who use to stay up at night and kill the cockroaches with a shotgun but I don't think it ever worked plus the police get involved sooner or later. He would also kill them and leave them on toothpicks standing up to be a message to all the other cockroaches, but I don't think it worked ethier. In Vegas we had them all the time. In Cali Modesto not so much even in homes that were very dirty. So maybe location can be a factor.

I live in Los Angeles and they are very hard to get rid of, I thought moving would get rid of them but nope, people moved in next door and they started coming through the walls, its awful, I dont really know of a way to get rid of them, if you live in an aprtment building I think they have to totally terminate the place at the same time, I hate cockroaches, I am the cleanest person, and we still have them!!!

I agree with estervan R, they are a hard thing to get rid of. You don't say what type they are Chinese cockroaches like water or damp conditions and that is likely what you have, look them up on the net . If this is them try and eliminate the water or damp condition as well as using the pesticide.......................good luck p.s. cockroaches have nothing to do with dirt, please research before you answer the question

When i used to do extermination work, i used a concentrated poison, brand name Demon, costs about $210, but it got the job done.
If you need something more affordable, there's a small syringe with a brown powder in it, brand name Avert, very good stuff. Avery normally runs you about $25 a syringe, most exterminators don't use it, because it eliminates ALL the roaches.

Boric acid, it is very effective when used properly for killing cockroaches and most other insects. You can also get a house lizard, they are natural enemies and will eat them. More information at http://tinyurl.com/ofxkk

Sprinkle boric acid around. You can get some at your neighborhood drugstore or the 99 cent store. They will come back in about 2 years. Gets rid of ants too!!!!!!!!! That stuff dehydrates their bodies.

interestingly cut up cucumbers left in a dish make them go elsewhere. they do not like the smell. it does not kill them nor is it practical in a larger house. however it does work in an apt. It will of course piss off your neighbor when they go over to their apt.
