After painting the ceiling in the living-room I discovered some kind of paper/ canvas/ cloth covering the whole ceiling and it started to bulge and didn't smooth out, even after the paint had dried.
This is a large room 25 x 15 and I think I need to change the whole paper, but do they still make it? Will it cost much and is there something else I could do instead? There's a great deal of plaster as well, so it wouldn't look good with beams. Any suggestions?

A friend of mine's told me that his builder installed some "felt" between his window and the frame. After the installation, he could no feel the cold air coming in between along the side of the windows as he used to.

My windows have the same problem. I went to Lowes but they only have stripping products, which cannot be used here.

So I need some help please ...

There is NO budget for a housekeeper or cleaning crew or third party of any kind to come and do the housecleaning. HOW do some people manage to stay sane and keep their house clean? The only people I've ever known whose homes are always clean are people who are obsessive-compulsive about it. Is there a happy medium? How do you find it???

I have a washer and dryer (the washer leaks), a big blue rocking chair, and a compact dryer that we had before we found a full size one. I also have a futon that I just want to throw away, it's been sitting in my basement for a year and it's not useable.

I noticed the carpet was wet in front of the shower cubicle .I replaced the sealant where the tiles meet with the tray but this did no good. When I pulled back the carpet I noticed the floorboards are wet and they obviously extend back under the shower tray. I think perhaps there could be a leak on the pipework under the shower. What do I do ?

Does anyone know where I can find kitchen towels that have a loop on one end so that they can hang from a knob or drawer pull?

I used to find these all over the place, and now, they're no where to be found.

Thanks!

it's about 2 months old, it has salt, rinse aid and dishwasher tablet. When it finished everything looked like it had been dipped in chalk. I did notice that the salt cap looked different....not sure incase im thinking of my old one, but when you unscrew the salt cap should it have a tube looking bit attached about 3 inches long? Its a siemens dishwasher if anybody has one can you let me know incase that bit should be there and has broken off.

This has happend since we decorated and removed some off the wall, without disconnecting, to decorate behind, but not neccessarily to the ones we touched. We have a baxi bolier. I dont think its sludge at the bottom as the system is only about 3 years old. Theyre not even that hot at the top, only warm and on setting 5. Sometimes under the boiler there is a drop of water could this be connected?
