I think that the information you have been given is a little wrong.
If the pipe is sealed off, then the refrigerant is probably CFC based. As CFC are banned, then you would not be able to top it up. However, it is possible to have the refrigerant changed for compliant gases.
If your Fridge is sealed, you would need a Pro to do the job. If you have a valve on the system, Halfords do a DIY Top Up kit for car Air-con. This should do the trick if you buy the large size kit.

If your fridge needs more gas, the person should run a vacuum pump on the system to get rid of any debry, but if he did not run a vacuum on the system, there could be only oil in the system from the compressor. Some times it will be cheaper to buy a new fridge, because the labour and call-out charges are to much.

it's blocked'probably means u have a restriction in the refrigerant line.so charging will not work.refrigerant needs to be recovered.an atempt to blow system out with nitrogin works sometimes.if that does not work.you might want to get a new refrigerator.2yrs old?if this is the problem i would get a new one.because most refrigerators are sealed systems.that means no service valves.so if he tried to add freon,he installed the valves or the valves were previously installed.indicating an on going problem.if any of this is true.count your losts and invest in a new one.because two more service calls and you have already spent enough for a new one or have gotten pretty close.they need to fix it or stop waisting your time and money.

Yes most compressors/sealed units have a 5 year warranty, even if it's only 1 or 2 years contact the suppliers and then the manufacturer, they may well replace it as goodwill.

This is called a restriction in the sealed system. Most refrigerators have a 5 year warranty on the sealed system. Check your warranty papers and call the manufacturer for service

piercing valve (once on it stays)
check for gas, add if needed
if there's none then it has to be pumped down and you don't have that luxury yourself (A/C or Appliance Service Tech)
