If it's the pipes get the plumber in. If not check out the grouting on your tiles not just at the seal of the shower.
We recently had the same problem and resealed to no avail. When we regrouted all the tiles the leak went.

The best way to find out weather the leak is in the wall behind the shower head is to remove the shower head and cap or plug the line where it comes out( usually half inch ) if you cant do this yourself you should ask the plumber to do it for you.If the leak is in the wall it should show very quickly . Good luck

It sounds really silly and forgive me if I approach this in this way but I had the same problem and it turned out to be the shower door when opened after having a shower dripped water and condensation on the floor.
After a fashion it tends to remain wet and gets wetter each time you open the door after using the shower. My only advice would be to lay vinyl florring and a proper waterproof drip mat and see if that works. Failing that it could be what you said about it being and internal problem if thats the case either investigate it yourself or get someone else in to check and diagnose the problem.
Good luck

delphi13 is probably bang on. I have the exact same problem, but I will get round to sorting it when I do the bathroom! Once the Grout goes the water gets in behind the tiles and comes out wherever it pleases! As the wall dries out the adhesive tries to repair itself, creating new runnels for the water to flow through, meaning a leak in a new place every time!
Just strip it all out and re-do it, it's the only sure answer!

If it is an old shower it could be that your shower pan has gone bad. We have the same problem that you described in a shower in our house right now. I thought it might be the drain pipe, and tried applying some caulking to some decayed areas I could see in the pipe to no avail. After talking to some friends at work, I am convinced that it is the shower pan, and the only way to fix it is to rip out the old one and put in a new one. Good Luck!

We had a similar problem. It was so frustrating but nothing we did solved it; the leak just moved round to a different place. Ended up having a new shower. Sorry there was no happy ending.

Many leaks come from the DOOR. Check the rubber seal under the door. I hope it's that simple.
