I don't do "Blue" I think it's depressing, I do white, red, Green, Christmas colors, Depressing is for Halloween (my favorite), my parents always did a wreath on the door with a spot light, very classy but, you could never tell who was at the door when you opened it, it was like looking into the Sun !

I think that if you are doing a kinda blue them it would probably do good if you put some clear lights in there too it would kinda bring in a wintery theme and it seems like it would be "calm" with those two colors together and then maybe silver bulbs, at the hardware store there are 6x6 glass blocks you could probably buy 3 and put them in different directions and put candles on them with blue or clear lights -its so pretty when the candles and the lights are reflecting off of the glass(I like your idea it's a little different but it sounds great) good luck! Merry Christmas!

Have outlined the roof peeks of my home in small multi colored lights, multi color icicle lights hang from the eves every window is wrapped in c5 multi color lights while the bushes around the home are decorated with green lights and a few red lights to look like garland and berries. a full size sleigh sits in the yard with 8 deer. Large wooden panels of painted Characters are placed around the yard with spot lights as well as a 9 peice nativity. random spot lights light the 35 trees in the front yard while a disco ball lit turned sideways with a 20 million candle power spot makes snow fall in the rest of the yard. Blow up Santas snowmen igloos bears toys etc line the driveway. Will have approximately 25000 tiny lights this year.

Yes I did. We have a lot of decorations, but you seem like the simple type, so I recommend icicles of different lengths where you put the blue and green lights, a big blow-up Santa Claus in the center of your lawn, and perhaps even a wreath on your front door. The blue and green lights are good taste, but they just look strange alone.

that sounds nice. don't let blue man get you down. blue is actually a calming color. calm is peaceful. with the green highlights i bet it's pretty. i am doing multi colored this year just because i stood in the light isle for so long and couldn't decide, and finally figured it was best not to decide and just let it come together. i don't have a tree really, but a couple of rosemary bushes outside i put the lights on, and in my front window. ta da! done. merry Christmas!

Actually, I don't.
Sometimes we will get a Christmas tree...sometimes not. I do like lights around the barn as it puts out lots of lights at night!
