Last year our tree was 6' artificial and we had purple and silver bulbs with clear and purple lights. You can get the purple lights around Halloween time.
This year our tree is a 6'5 clear prelit artificial and we've added a couple strands of green & red lights and Ty beanie babies as the ornaments!

We have colored lights on our tree that came with a remote so we can have the lights to stay on or twinkle in alot of different ways and we also bought round led lights with Winnie the poo on them and plan ones and the tree looks good

The "bubble" lights are cool. They look like a candle but have water in them that bubbles as they glow. Also "specialty" lights like M&M caracter lights (you have to be careful with some specialty lights as far as how long you can leave them on).

Tiny white lights. No need for the multi-colored ones, the colors from the ornaments will do the job.

White Mini lights that do NOT blink. or sing or play songs! That is the thing that my mother-in-laws uses and really looks BAD!
