General Health Care - January 2007

Every time I sit, I put my right leg under me. I really want to stop because it's putting a lot of weight and pressure on my poor knee. But I can't not do it, because I've gotten in the bad habit of doing it every time I sit at my desk. And I have a desk job. HELP!

Ok heres the deal, i started going to the gym a couple of months ago and suddenly one day after running for an hour on the running mill thingie as soon as i got off it My head felt like it was going to explode because of pressure.. anyway i ignored it for a few days but i couldn't anymore coz i had constant headaches and head pressure.. now i thought it might be something with my neck since whenever i turn to look the other way i hear cracking sounds from the bones.. Im definitely going to go to the doctor but im kinda freaked out a bit.. i was wondering if anyone has heard of similar symptoms and the thing thats causing them...Oh and one thing that seems to help is laying down with my back/neck straight thanks in advance!.

I deliver mail for a living and we just had a bad ice storm come through. I did have a few slips turning into almost splits (but no falls) on the ice, but felt no pain, until the next day. i'm having agonizing pain. WOULD A CHIROPRACTOR HELP or should i go to a regular doctor?

My new one is that when the smoking ban comes into place in July (UK), that standing outside to smoke will mean I meet loads of interesting people (as I did in Scotland where they have a smoking ban). Seriously you do....!

I have a herniated disc, and a pinch nerve in my upper back, due to a work injury. Dr.s are saying it can't be fixed.So I got me a lawyer..Workman Comp will not help me since i got a lawyer.No weekly checks are nothing.Can Workman comp do this to me.Please Help Thank You

very often i had headaches and this time not only headache but also stiff neck/pain i also feel nausea and giddy my headaches is around my whole head i dun feel it when im asleep but it comes back when i wake up it can last up to 10 days it happens abt 1-2 times a monthand i have popping sound in my ears (i dun have any ear problem as i had seen a specialist) im very worried that i might have brain tumor i have done a ct scan but the report is not out yet i dun have a fever

Me and my friend were pulling out of hooters and we saw a bad car wreck and we stopped to help.. we ran over to the car and saw three people inside that were not moving. one woman was obviously dead because her neck was nealed over in a way that the spine does not allow unless broken. I didn't know what to do. I was yelling at people to help her but everyone told me not to touch anybody. I looked at the other car and there was a guy walking around with his arm just hanging on...There was a women in the back seat who was face down and was also dead who was not in a seatbelt. and then the driver woke up and looked at his two passengers dead. I couldnt take it. Then the police came and radiod that he had two possible fatalitys.. I had to leave. I have never sean that before and didn't know what to do. Her eyes were like looking at me. I can't stop thinking about this.

i was diagnosed with scoliosis when i was 13, now that im 18 i would like to build up my body. but im scared that my chest will grow unproportion (it is now, but not that ovious) . will that happen?? and in the prosess will my back hurt from time to time?

My shoulder really hurts me, I woke up every hour on the hour last night! I think it might be tendinist of the rotarycuff or something. My elbow also seems to be frozen on the other arm. Could I be sleeping on my arms funny? I also play Japanese taiko drums which can be disscribed as martial arts mixed with really big drums...could that also be a problem?
