General Health Care - January 2007

Hubby is having a discogram tomorrow. Know pretty much what the procedure entails, however, the doctors nurse said that he had to take it easy for about 3 days, no lifting, limited bending etc. Has anyone hand one of these? If so what can he expect afterwards? thanks

I am an 18 year old male who started running a couple of months ago. For this past month, I have had shooting pains in leg (particularly in my ankle), after I run. I take a multi-vitamin everyday, I have aasics gel running shoes and I only run for a mile on a track 3 times a week. The pain is only in my right leg. Why do I get these shooting pains in my right ankle?

When I woke from surgery my skin was palor unlike pre op.I have good color in my skin I've been extemely dizzy,confused,severe abdominal muscle contractions .I've had nurmerous surgeries for the same issue ,but none with these debilitating complications 3 months out .First I just thought it was the anathesia after 2 months went by apparently I was wrong ,along with the incision I don't know who to go to , The surgeon said to see a neurologist . It can't possibly be neuro I think he's just trying to pass the buck. I also had a CT of the Ab wall which was unremarkable ,maybe some of the symptoms are neuro ,but absoltely not the cause .Any knowlegeable suggestions appreciated.

Im in eighth grade and i have a huge phobia for needles. i need to get a tetnus shot for high school soon and i am terribly scared!! i throw up everytime i think about it. can you tell me what a tetnus shot feels like? does it hurt real bad?! how many needles are there? are all the shots takin at one time?! i really want to know this so tell me from experience and dont tell me it doesnt hurt....tell me the truth i think i can handle it. if i got through writeing this then i think i can take the hard stuff. hopefully!!!!

OK so its a strange thing to ask but here it is. The side of my hurts not the inside of my throught but outside. Its hurts to the touch and its the left side almost that muscle on your neck.

Trust me people it ant whip lash.

The pain is starting to get unbearable. I have really tight muscles in my shoulders, neck, and some parts of my upper back. Massages don't help, neither does any kind of pain killer . It's getting to the point that it gives me headaches, makes me dizzy and nauseated, and to where it looks as if my shoulders are haunched. I can't even turn my head all the way anymore.

I just need some stretches to do that will loosen me up a little. I don't know what causes it...stress, maybe, or sleeping wrong. I donno, but it's been like this forever.

I got stitches on my left upper cheek on Jan. 12. The top layer was removed on the Jan. 16th. I plan on playing soccer competitively before my complete 3 weeks. I feel totally fine at the moment. I should be playing sometime around the 23rd thourgh the 26th. What can I do to prevent my injury from opening up again while playing a soccer game? Thanks
