If there is no history of trauma to your arm, it may be that you have a RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury). Have a chat with your GP and let him/her examine it.

Best wishes, J

Ice it to take away the pain, but don't frostbite yourself. It is possible that you did do it at work, but the company doctor will want to see exactly what motion you put your arm in to get the injury. The doc will then determine if he thinks its possible for you to get hurt as much as you are by doing that. Don't wait until your forearm is the size of a tube pillow to go to the doctor, especially if you are thinking about making a claim.

if you are in the United Kingdom, try calling the NHS helpline 08454647 for advice. they will be able to provide a solution providing you give full details of the symptoms not just i work in a store could this cause my arm to swell. technically no, it can not cause you any physical problems to do your job if you are observing proper health and safety guidlines of no more than four hours without a break of at least 15 minutes (or it was when i did a similier line of work in a DIY chain store back in 1990 -98).
if you are sat down and not standing while you move heavy items then you are exposing yourself to back problems and you could get a muscle strain in your arms. but without knowing what you have been doing besides your job that may have contributed to the condition you will not get a clear cut perfect answer.
a swollen arm could mean a fracture, have you been out drinking and fallen over? or not been drinking and have fallen over? yes then you could have a fracture, though you would normally get severe pain with a fracture or broken bone but not always.
this could be as a result of an insect bite have you been anywhere that may have caused this a recent holiday for example?

many possible causes. the only thing to do is seek professional medical help from someone who can either question you to get to the correct cause and solution. or better still go to your GP as soon as possible for him/her to refer you to a hospital if required for an x-ray. or just go to an A&E department at the hospital (ER to our american cousins) wait in line and see what they say.

i'm no medic. but having had my spine broken several times by medical professionals i know swelling from broken bones etc. hell still now years on from my last operation i'm in agony, last time i was able to look in the mirror at my back i had a large bruise on my right shoulder (or what appears to be a bruise) but has been there in place for at least two years non stop, but then that is my own fault i refuse to get near a medic these days after then many botched attempts to correct the problems with my spine i'm worse than i ever was. but as for the forearm problem. i'd say a medic is your first option. failing that go to any chemist or pharmacist in the UK and you can get an opinion from them. they may sell you a product or suggest you go to your GP.

alternatively others may be correct and by simply soaking your arm in ice cold water the swelling may go down in the short term.
but the swelling may return by using ice cold water.

you have been warned, good luck.

Well,
Your muscles may be over worked, so the best thing for you to do is rub warm lotion over forearm. Unless Edema runs through your family in that case talk to your doctor.
