I currently work at an ER in Mesa,Az. Our spanish interpreter states that is "silvido" or "sonido". I looked online and there is no actual translation for such word. WE both speak english and spanish fluently but we are not sure wich one to use with patients.

My roommate has a problem with snoring, and she's aware of it.
Last year, we were fine. I slept good. She'd only snore when she was
really sick and had just taken Nyquil. Which I understand because I'm
like that sometimes. But this year, it's gotten worse and she's a little
paranoid about it.
Is there any way to fix this without getting surgery?
The breathe right strips didn't work.

i have been given a harness to keep my back straight and arm sling to minimize movement. the last xray shows separation, that is, space between the broken parts of the bone. doc says 98% success of healing.

I know you should report it right away. I thought my back was just sore(I put away freight all night). The next night I couldn't stand long enough to make dinner, and called off. The following night I went to work, thinking it was getting better. Within a few hours I just wanted to cry. I was getting sharp shooting pains and my thigh started going numb. Then my calf started cramping as I was walking. Now my hand feels tingly(same side as numb thigh). I want to go to the doctor tomorrow, but I can not afford it. I am somewhat worried. This all started on Sunday night. My company ( a tempory agency) is self insured. Is it to late to get them to pay for the doctor? Thanks for the help!

I've been told if i just take my piercing out and let the hole close up that it will become an infected cyst or something. When it ripped through my pierced hole, it made my hole as big as the flower i had in it.

I was in a car accident about 7 hours ago. I don't remember the actual impact, but the front of my car was totalled, so I must have moved, even though I was wearing a seatbelt. My neck hurts and I have a headache, but I had a headache before the accident. My neck often hurts, but this feels different. I feel a bit groggy, but nothing out of the ordinary. Could I have whiplash? Is there any way to know without seeing a doctor? I have a check up in two weeks, but should I move it up? Also, would it be okay to go to sleep?

Basically I get about 10 hours sleep each night, I have an office job, and am 28years old. I go to bed tired and wake up refreshed. People generally claim that 5 to 8 hours leaves them fully refreshed and rested.

Is there anything I can do to add a few more hours to my day (on a long term basis) without feeling exhausted? For example waking up 10mins earlier each week? Has anybody had any success at this?

Anyone have a home remedy? I have a pinched nerve that when flared up, makes my "boys" feel like someone is stepping on them, and the pain goes all the way to my big toe. I've had epidurals, but I've had too many recently, so the doc has cut me off. Prednisone helps, but I know it's not good for you. The biggest problem is when I'm driving, not walking or working. I have all kinds of wedges and cushions for my seat, but they don't last but 35 minutes or so. What can I do at home to help? Ice? Heat? Stretching?

I had a sebaceous cyst removed from my chest in November. Now, two months later, the wound area from the cyst removal is still not healed. I went back twice to get the disolvable stitches removed that did not disolve and also had the wound cauterized twice with silver nitrate to help kill the infection and to heal better. It does not seem to have gotten any better and I am starting to question my doctor. I want to see another doctor about this, but I don't know what type of doctor to see. The doctor that removed the cyst is a general surgeon. I do not know if I should go see another surgeon because there is nothing to do surgery on now and I don't know if I should see a general family doctor because they usually just refer you to another doctor and I don't want to pay a general family doctor just so he can tell me to see another type of doctor. Any suggestions on what type of doctor I should go see? Thanks.
