I know you should report it right away. I thought my back was just sore(I put away freight all night). The next night I couldn't stand long enough to make dinner, and called off. The following night I went to work, thinking it was getting better. Within a few hours I just wanted to cry. I was getting sharp shooting pains and my thigh started going numb. Then my calf started cramping as I was walking. Now my hand feels tingly(same side as numb thigh). I want to go to the doctor tomorrow, but I can not afford it. I am somewhat worried. This all started on Sunday night. My company ( a tempory agency) is self insured. Is it to late to get them to pay for the doctor? Thanks for the help!

You need to go to a clinic or emergency room asap, when you check in tell them it is work related and they will do special paperwork. With the pains and numbness, something is wrong. I have seen people wait 3-4 days in Ohio, but I wouldn't wait any longer, just be sure and tell them that it has been getting progressively worse each day and you thought you had to have money to report it.

this is why i am a democrat at least then companies had to supply medical coverage. Now they do not. The temporary agency is not readily going to pay for anything for u till u prove to them u were injured on the job. Since i believe you have got to see where you can file for workercomp,.go to temp office The place you worked for may be the place to tell. Sometimes you can go a day without notice of a pinched nerve go to dr . pay for it and good luck in ohio workers comp covers all injuries even little ones. Try a OWC on the net i dont know how

Usually it is 24 hours. You may need the assistance of a work comp lawyer to help you out. I am willing to bet your temp company is going to deny any benefits to you.
