yesterday i had a steriod inj into a cyst in my ankle, today my ankle is very sore and stiff is this normal after steriod, inj, and how long will it last

i was shocked at it been a cyst as last week was told it ligamant damage, have to go back in 2 weeks, if swelling not gone, and then poss have op, doc hoping that steridod disperses the cyst, he tried to but couldnt, as with the NHS cuts this is classed as none esensial op it wouldnt get done,,, great eh.

Its normal to have pain after a steriod injection and also though doctors prescribe it we should negate it because it has lots of side effects including getting cancer. The best thing for such conditions is to go to alternative medicines like homeopathy where there are wonderful medicines which will cure your problem. However past is past you need not worry for the pain it would subside in few days and if you feel the pain unbearble then pls contact the doctor.

OOOH poor you! I have been offered steroid injections before and I have always refused them, as they are VERY painful.
The joint will be stiff for a while and will hurt for a while too. It's normal and will subside soon.

You should feel the actual affects for the better within 36 hours. If not...see the doc. Geeeeeeeee, that's gotta hurt. I feel bad.

some people have trouble with steroid injections, no idea how long it might last, call the dr that did it and ask.

the sore will go away in a few days, don't worry about it.
