In Santa Cruz (CA) we have (still do, I think...) the Dorian Center For the Blind, and the Lions, both could help with that. You can contact your local Social Services to locate resources to help you.

There may be a warranty on them. The place where my son gets his glasses give you a 2 year warranty on most of them. Also I don't know about the lubbock area but around here in Kentucky we have orginizations like Shriners that help with the cost of glasses.

Nice statement. What's the weather like in the Lubbock area?
I thought I'd ask a question since you didn't ask one.
Do you have a question?

How long has he had them? If he just got them, they may replace them. My son had a pair of the ones that aren't supposed to break. He had them for about a week, and they broke. They replaced them due to manufacturers defect. Take them back to the place that you got them from and see if they can help you.

If he's only had them a short while perhaps he should take them back to the seller and complain;
