I can "hear" the water in my ear, it is kind of like the sound of when you crumple plastic or paper.

run and hit your head on the pillow...if that doesn't work take a hot cloth and lay your ear on it...also rub some alcohol on the edges of your ear (always works for me). : )

There are products especially designed to dry out ears, you can find them at your nearest pharmacy. If they don't work, then its not water in your ears.

Most likely its a mild ear infection or allergic reaction causing fluid to build up and not drain out of the inner ear correctly, or swelling of the ear canal tissues making it sound/feel like there is something in there when there isn't. Do you have allergies? If so, you may want to take some Claritin for a few days and see if it clears up. You probably got into more of your allergen a few days ago (or whenever this started) and its taking your body a bit of time to recover.

It happens to everybody at one time or the other, what you need do is, get water to your ears through the right ear while bending your head towards the left, add enough water to that it will go through your ear and come out of the left, by doing this it will wash out the lil dirty water that is in the ears and make the pipe clear. Hit the left ear as the water is traveling down it, to add more force to the pushing ability of the water....Good Luck

Here is a recipe I got from my pediatricians office, it is to help dry out the ears after swimming, It might work for you.

Mix equal parts of rubbing alcohol and white vinegar in a bottle (preferably one with a squirt top or dropper) and instill 2 or 3 drops in each ear immediately after swimming

put a few drops of rubbing alcohol in the ear, and let it set in there for a few minutes, it will pull the water out. Then turn your head and let it all drain out. I have seen this work , and have done it before.

It could happen when you swim. I remember going swimming and getting water in my ears but it didn't phase me because I had surgery in my ears and had tubes put into them.

Try using a hair dryer on low setting and let it blow into your ear for a little bit. I heard this works well.
