Workman compensation policy is for employees who are injured during working hours or injury related to their work. Since your injuries were caused by your work they are supposed to compensate you for your injuries. If your injuries are permanent then they will pay you according to the percentage of your injuries. Its under the common law and your right to be compensated

Get a good lawyer and he/she will fight for you
