I'm not overweight (8 stone) but my belly (particularly lower) still looks a bit flabby and pokes out. I have a healthy diet and try to do at least 40 minutes of cardio a week. What can I do to tone up my tummy? What kind of exercises help and how often?

I saw an ad on TV for this thing that's suppose to tone up your chest, and I can't remember the name! It looks like a pole, and it's like a resistance stick. Does anyone know what this is???

Hi, well I really want to get fit and lose weight. I'm starting to eat really healthily, drink loads more water, and I want to start excercising more. I'm going to go jogging and have a go on my dance mat, but I was just wondering, if I walk up and down the stairs for ages will this make me lose weight or just gain muscle?! I know that if you have more muscle, you lose weight even when you're not working out, but I don't want my legs to be really muscly(sp?) and bulky! Should I just do more running, or will walking stairs help me burn fat?

Thanks so much if you read this, I tend to go on lol! Thanks! x

I was just wondering why people ask the question of how to lose weight, they say they eat alot and can't stop, or they eat a bad diet, or say please help, or help me loose 70 lbs FAST! America is getting FATer everyday, the JUNK food, please don't make me describe that word, and sweets, cookies, candy, candybars, and little debbie snacks, sugary cereals, and sodas, and fast food, all are the answers to OUR FAT AMERICA Ok, I decribed JUNK FOOD< couldn't help myself. Write down two days worth of food that u have eaten, and look at the junk, sugary, and no vegetable involved. Your answer is right on your plate. And for heaven sake, cut the portions in half, we eat like we are feeding two or three people, we americans are all about how much food we can consume in one sitting. Stop and look at what u are eating and how much. And stop the high risk for Diabetes, how about this YR less lessen the weight we are harming ourselves with...

I am a 21 year old female who likes to exercise daily. I usually do an hour and fifteen minutes of intense cardio workout, burning around 900 calories in that time. I have become worried recently that I am working my heart too hard, keeping my heart rate around 168 throughout the majority of my workout. Am I endangering my health? I don't really want to alter my routine.

Im 22, 5'8 and 160 lbs. my new years resolution is to get down to at least 130. The only exercise I get is when I play basketball or when I walk to the store so I really dont work out much and as far as eating goes I eat pretty much anything I want and it goes directly to my thighs. So what I really am asking for is any ideas for a steady workout plan so that I can go to the gym more frequently and some recipes for healthy eating...So if anybody can help me I would really appreciate it. Thank u!

I'm 5'3 and weigh 140 lbs. I'm trying to lose weight and have started something in the last 2 weeks. I have cut out all carbs, sweets and junk food and I am on my stationnarybike 30-40 minutes a day. Will that do any good? I'm trying to go down to 125 lbs in the next few months.

I am in 6th grade and want to tryout at the end of the year, but I am overweight. I think tryouts are in April. So I need a specific diet and exercise plan to help me get in shape before then. Plz respond or e-mail me at Princess_Kari757@yahoo.com if you would like to be my trainer/advisor or whatever.

Thanks so much!
