I'm 5'3 and weigh 140 lbs. I'm trying to lose weight and have started something in the last 2 weeks. I have cut out all carbs, sweets and junk food and I am on my stationnarybike 30-40 minutes a day. Will that do any good? I'm trying to go down to 125 lbs in the next few months.

When you go shopping, have a look at the fat content on food packets - get to know which food is higher in fat and which food is lower.
Avoid red meat products such as sausages, burgers, steak as they are high in fat. Instead go for chicken, tuna, fruit and veg. Cut out butter and margarine and replace it with a low fat spread. Cut down on cheese as this is high in fat and get to know which chocolate contains more fat and which contains less. And, most importantly, don't snack between meals.

You could also keep a food diary for a week, writing down everything you eat so that you are more aware of exactly what you are eating and will be clearer about the changes you can make.

If you combine a healthy diet with the exercise that you are doing, you will lose weight.
Best Wishes.

you're going to fail or be miserable if you really cut out all carbs. Carbs are your bodys preferred fuel and they make us feel good, like a drug. Cut calories, not carbs. Feed the "machine" less than it burns and you'll lose fat fast. Good luck!
