Dental - November 2007

I am about to get a full upper denture and they will be pulling 12 teeth, They will put my dentures in as soon as my teeth are pulled. My question is what can I expect as far as pain and major swelling? and Since i work with the public alot, how soon can i go back to work able to talk with minimal discomfort?

i have a gap in my teeth from where i got a tooth out. and now i cant smile with my mouth open as its really bad looking.

can anyone tell me is it sore and expensive to have a false one put in to replace it???

please help. its shatterin my confidence.

I am 16 years old and lost one of my front two teeth a few years ago. I think it looks really bad and was wondering if anybody knew what I could do about it. Am I old enough for an implant? I have a retained with a tooth on it but it looks stupid.

Hi,
I am 18 and will be having my first surgery in two weeks and I am very nervous. I will be going to sleep with medicines placed in my IV and I wanted to know if the going sleep part hurt. I saw a surgery on E! and the women was given this white drug in her iv and her eyes rolled back in her head before falling asleep. It looked scary to me. Why did her eyes roll back and did that part hurt?? It did not look very relaxing.

I have a hole in my Tooth and the pain is hurting loads , Im now getting lump on the side of my lower Jaw ? What is this ?

My 2nd tooth from the back of my mouth has little hold in it and also have hole where the old filling was . The pain is getting worse as the days go on . I cant Afford to see my Dentist till the 25th . I just started to get a lump under my lower jaw that hurts if i touch it ? what is this ?

Hi, im an 18 year old from Canada and just got back from the dentist. I have dental insurance, and the dentist said i will need to get my wisdom teeth removed ASAP because 2 are impacted but the other 2 are not, my question is... Will the removal of my wisdom teeth be covered by the insurance? or is it considered cosmetic surgury? Cosmetic surgury isnt covered under our plan. (i have a chipped tooth from hockey, it is not covered by the plan.)

I lost my retainers...
I've lost them before but I believe I left them in a different city... In a parking lot... of a church...
I'm pretty sure, almost positive I will not get them back.
My mother and father are going to kill me and I was wondering if I could afford paying for them myself or pay at least a half of the new cost.

i have braces and in order for my overbite to go away i have to have two teeth taken out for my teeth to fit in perfectly w/o the overbite.... has any one had the same experience??? does it hurt? how long will it take to heal?

I am not sure if I want three of my permant teeth taken out. I have a choice to or not. I still have all my wisdom teeth in. Anyone who has had braces please tell me what you experience. If I get 3 teeth taken out, won't my jaw be small, I don't think I agree with that. I'm a little unsure of all this?

I wen't to the dentist this morning and they took my full mouth x-rays and they told me that I need a root canal in my bottom # 26 which I believe is the k-9 tooth but I can't be sure because it doesn't hurt. And they said that there is no cavity but and absess at the very bottom of the root.

My question I guess is has anyone ever had this happen to them? or should I get a second opinion?

I am thinking to be a dentisit. I have a question. Do i have to study real hard to be a dentist that can earn 90 thousand to 120k ans which line in dentist i have to choose and how many years i have to study to get the highest degree in this field. Provide me some extra info that u have. thanks

i had recovered and had taken out the stiches ... but there's still got hole on it ...

Sometimes the food is too deep to take out ..

Will it cause Gum Infection in that hole ..??

I use Listerine Twice a day also ...
