My teeth are a little yellow, probably due to poor hygiene. Is it possible to get them back to a clean white color without damaging the enamel? What I mean is...can I use multiple whitening treatments until my teeth are white, or would that damage my enamel to do so?

Also, after I do get my teeth white (if I do) how do I keep them white? I already brush my teeth everday so what am I doing wrong?
Any advice is welcome.

I have two teeth in the roof of my mouth. I had surgery to pull them down four years ago, with the intent of moving them into their rightful place (not the teeth directly next to my front teeth, but the next ones over). Well, it's been four years and it hasn't worked, and I am really sick of having two teeth in the roof of my mouth and two giant gaps where teeth should be. Plus, the roof of my mouth really, really hurts- I can't really eat hot/cold foods and it affects my ability to talk.
So my ortho recommended implants. My dentists disagrees- thinks we should do everything possible to save the teeth. I want implants. I have had braces for 8 years, and enough is enough!

So all I know is that they are screws that go into the bone. Does the procedure hurt? I heard they are extremely expensive and I don't know if my family can afford that- is there any way to do it for less money? Do they look real? Are there generally problems after? Any info would be great!

I need medical reasons why a child should have braces placed on teeth to correct a severe overbite. I don't need cosmetic reasons.

Most people hate going to the dentst. However, most of us want to get our teeth cleaned twice a year and x-rays taken once a year to make sure we have no cavities under the fillings and gums. Although I like my dentist and he does a great job, I am so sick of him telling me I should have this old filling replaced and a crown put here and there, and that he can do bonding & veneers, porcelain reconstructive dentistry, cosmetic smile makeovers, etc., etc. It just turns me right off to listen to him every time I go for a cleaning (he does the cleanings himself). I've changed dentists before because I got sick of them trying to sell me something I didn't want (like having a false tooth made for a back tooth). I've gotten to the point where I only get my teeth cleaned once a year now so I won't have to listen to the sales pitch. It not only wastes my time but it wastes his also. Who out there agrees with me on this subject?

I'm not talking about my wisdom teeth, but regular teeth. I need to take out 4, so they can put the mental stuff for my braces. Can they take out all 4 the same day, or only 2 at a time?

I think i might have a gum infection my gum hurts and feels a little inflated/swolen and its causing my two front teeth to hurt.
Is there anything i can to do help speed up the healing process?.

I wont go to a dentist because all they do is pescribe anti biotics of which i do not take because of its negative effects upon the imune system.

Would salt water help clean the infection?

Hi, recently my gum near the front of my teeth has swelled up a little is very noticable and annoying. Whenever I brush/floss near it, it bleeds and I am worried. Is this something to be worried about or will it heal on its own?

When you go for a surgery, lets say a cosmetic surgery. How long does it take for your surgery appointment to happen? Do you have to wait days, weeks, or months?

Because I've been scheduled for an orthognatic surgery (jaw surgery) and its literally been MONTHS I've been waiting for this surgery, and so I was wondering if this common with regards for any surgery to happen, or, are they just being slow?

A friend of mine lost most of his teeth many years ago and the rest (maybe half) are in terrible shape, on the verge of falling out. Needless to say, he doesn't have dental insurance and won't be getting any before he needs to have this taken care of. He wants to get the rest taken out and get a full set of false teeth... Any idea how much this might cost without insurance???

My 16 yr old has to get all 4 of her wisdom teeth removed. I imagine she will be put out for it, as they are all still above the gum-line and haven't broken through. I was wondering how long the procedure took. I know it probably depends on how much work they have to do extracting them. Are we talking 1 hour? 2 hours? Anybody who has any idea? Thanks in advance!

Here's the story:I fell down from my bed with my mouth wide open and accidently hit a wooden object,so i broke a small part of my right front tooth.I just broke a small part of the teeth,it still looks OK when i smile but somehow,i felt that it looks kind of weird. It's like my 2 front teeth don't look the same anymore. My left front tooth looks like a nice shaped-teeth while my right front tooth looks the same just that it has a little curve on the lower part.I'm embarrased sometimes to smile because i'm scared people may notice it.So my question is,if i were to visit a dentist, what would he/she do about it?And how much really will it cost me?I really want to get my killer-smile back. Thanks so much for your help!
