Gargle with saltwater until you get to a dentist.

or

Go to the store and get some Ambisol (spelling). You apply it to the affected tooth and it will help eleminate the pain.

Good Luck!!!

Go to the store and buy yourself some Ora-gel or something similar to that, take some advil or whatever pain reliever you feel comfortable with and call the dentist if it persists. The longer you wait the worse it could get. You don't want to wind up getting a root canal.
Swishing with Listerine can also help numb a little bit and will clean any bacteria from the tooth away.

Hope this help! Get Better Soon :)

Make an appointment with a dentist--you may have a cavity or absess, and it won't get better by itself. In the meantime, take some ibuprofen and use oragel or other oral analgesic for pain relief until you can get in to see the dentist--any good pharmacy will have stuff like that over the counter.

Ice pack might help depending on the location of the pain. Try to avoid chewing on that side, and probably try to avoid really cold or hot foods if it is sensitive to that.

Good luck!

If you had a root canal, your dentist should have advised you on what to take. When I had mine done, they told me to take ibuprofen every 4 hours, they prescribed a painkiller (vicodin) and since there was infection in the tooth I was also prescribed an antibiotic.

If your dentist has prescribed you something for the pain- take it for the first 24-48 hours. During the first 24 hours- don't wait for it to hurt, just take it as directed (usually every 4-6 hours) And take the ibuprofen every 4 hours- again- don't wait for it to hurt, take it on schedule.

If your Dr didn't prescribe you a painkiller, call them back and describe your pain level.

Advil 800mg every 6 hours until you get to the dentist. Oragel on the toothbrush, brush into and around the tooth. Wet tea bag - hold against sore tooth. Go to dentist.

Ibuprofen, but you need to see a dentist. If it is an infection you'll need anti-biotics. If it is a cavity, it will need to be filled or pulled. If it is a cracked root, you'll need a root canal. Teeth do not just hurt for no reason.

The dentist should have prescribed you some type of narcotic like Lortab or Percocet. They really don't cost that much to get the prescription filled either. If the dentist did not write you a prescription call them back and tell them to call you in something to your local pharmacy ASAP!!

um, the easy answer is dentist, or you could just numb your mouth. A painkiller wouldn't be a bad idea either.
