My 16 yr old has to get all 4 of her wisdom teeth removed. I imagine she will be put out for it, as they are all still above the gum-line and haven't broken through. I was wondering how long the procedure took. I know it probably depends on how much work they have to do extracting them. Are we talking 1 hour? 2 hours? Anybody who has any idea? Thanks in advance!

Less than an hour. I got in at 11 and left before noon.

Yes, they should put her out. IV seems to be a common way.

It's an easy, quick procedure. I had mine out yesterday.

Be sure to bring a bucket and paper towels, because the anesthesia can make one very nauseous (I was lucky; I didn't feel a bit sick), and stock up on pure liquid soups.e

I had my 4 impacted wisdom teeth with bone removal cut out of my jaw 2 weeks ago. I only had a local anesthetic , and the entire procedure took less than 30 minutes .

i had the same exact situation, they put me out, he said it would take about 45 minutes, make sure you have the pain killers when you get home, after you wake up there's no pain but in an hour or so you'll feel it, take the pain killers and you'll be fine
