they hurt really bad i just have them on the bottom i have had them for about 5 or 6 months but then i just got power chains yesterday and they are making my teeth hurt relly bad the power chains are teeth 3-6 on each side and are hurting mainly the back two teeth on each side besides taking tylonol or other pain meds is there enything alse i can do to releave the pain any please help i dont do good w/ pain!!!!!

Whenever they tighten them or do something new it is going to hurt for a couple of days. This is your teeth being forced into there correct position. I'm not sure if there is anything you can do, except talk to your orthodonist about slowing the process, but you might be stuck with your braces for even longer. Hang in there, it will be worth it.

My daughter had this problem when she wore braces. Everytime the orthodontist tightened her braces, her teeth would really hurt for a few days afterwards. She would take pain relievers to reduce the discomfort. Still, don't try to do anything that will slow down your treatment because that means you will have to wear braces for a longer period of time. My daughter was supposed to wear rubber bands on her braces for a while. She hated them and wouldn't put them on. She ended up having to wear braces for an extra year because of that.

Aww. Pretty much all you can do is take pain medicine . I aslo know how you feel i just got my top ones on yesterday and had the bottom tightened. But i was stupid and didnt take any pain medicine..that was not fun . But i hope you feel better soon .

well i have invisalign braces and my advice to you is to try oraljel it helps a little for me cus it numbs it and takes ur mind off the pain just a little. also try ice or really cold water.

aww thats soo sad :( i have braces tooo i know wat u mean. Hmm tylenol 3 and sleep on it. It's never as bad as it seems! hope u feel better
