My dentist has asked me to get a root canal done. But I'm stuck with some other important matters right now and don't have enough time for about a month. I'm currently on pain killers (3 days course) for the toothache. I wanted to ask whether it's okay if I postpone my root canal for a month or will it be bad? Also, I'd like to know how long does it take exactly for the whole root canal process? Thanks!

Help. I am scared. I have an abcessed tooth under a crown on my molar. I went to the dentist on tuesday, and now it is Thursday night, or Friday morning and I am still in agony. I have antibiotics and pain killers, but I am taking motrin every couple of hours. I have never hurt like this, and my jaw is even a bit swollen. I have a root canal on Tuesday, will I be in this much agony until then? does it hurt so bad because it has a crown over it? Please give me suggestions. I am tired of hurting and crying... Going through childbirth was better than this.

I hate brushing in the morning, takes too long. So I was wondering if I could just use Crest Pro Health mouthwash instead. However, I don't know how effective it would be in removing plaque buildups from overnight.

I am getting braces in less than two weeks and I need to know what to do like to prepare. I have read that u should take pain killer before u go in. If so how soon before and does it matter what kind. Also do I need to buy anything like tooth brushes, or soft foods. I am sure my dentist will tell me all this but I am just really scared and want to know what to do. Can u please tell me what you did when u got ur braces on? That would be a lot of help to, its just that I am sooo scared that its gonna hurt ALOT!! So any pointers would help. Thanks

I won't be seeing the dentist for a long long long time though. What will the dentist do to the deep cavity? (it;s one of my back molars on top)

Meanwhile what are the feasible ways to relieve the pain? And it is very costly to see a dentist in Singapore?

I going to pay for zoom whitening, will they clean my teeth for free before I have my teeth done or isn't that included in the price? I want to know what the 'norm' is before I ask my dentist.

Dispite asking around, I can not find an NHS dentist who will take on a new patient. I can only find private ones. Most practaces are full now. Do you know of one or better still are you one. Please.

I got my braces put in today, and even though I am aware that they'll give me straight, gorgeous teeth, I still don't like them.

They are really painful, prevent me from eating some of my favorite foods, and when I smile, I think I look horrible.

Any tips on how to overcome this and learn to like them?

Thanks in advance.

i wont say how old i am, but i will say i am old enough to know better that i should be brushing my teeth twice a day. I really dont like the taste of any toothpastes, pretty sure its the flouride, it almost gives me a stomach ache after. not like i swallow it or anything i dont, just the taste of it. so.. because of this, i stopped brushing my teeth as often, and now i really need to get back into the habbit of doing it again. i have a busy schedual and dont usually have a whole lot of time in the morning either, any ideas that would help would be great. thanks
