Brush, floss, and use a powerful mouthwash twice daily.
That will help it from getting worse.
To relieve the pain, you can take Tylenol or Advil. Or apply a topical product like Orajel directly on and around the tooth.
The dentist will drill out the decayed tooth and remove the yucky stuff, then fill it up so it's good as new.
Not sure what it costs in Singapore.

You are probably going to have to get a root canal. It's a procedure done because the cavity is so deep that it has reached or almost reached the root pulp of the tooth, resulting in the pain you are feeling. The dentist will drill into your tooth and extract the root. Then without the nerve in your tooth, you can no longer feel pain.
It sounds much worse than it is because you are given a good dose of local anesthesia around the tooth. I actually had a root canal done about a month ago, it wasn't bad at all. It felt weird and took a while, but other than that, much better than I had expected. I wasn't actually experiencing any pain, but the cavity had formed under a previous filling, and it was so close to the root that the dentist recommended that I just have it taken out as it would probaly need to be done in the future anyway.

I recently had to deal with this same situation with my husband.
seek medical help immediately by either going to a doctor and explaining the situation or making a quick stop to your dentists office. It could be an infection that could turn into a nervous infection which can be deadly if it progresses too far. Most dentists will prescribe an antibiotic before they even treat a tooth that's infected as bad as yours sounds, so the sooner you start the sooner he or she can treat it.
In the meantime, take tylenol for the pain (if the pain is too bad the doctor/dentist could also prescribe some stronger pain meds as well).
Depending on the cavity, the dentist might just fill the tooth. If, however, the decay is bad enough he or she might just pull the tooth completely.

Deep cavity? I had that. It turned into an abeess, a seriuos and painful thing! Schedule an appiontment ASAP it could be very seriuos. To keep the pain away, brush and use mouthwash. If that doesn't work try baking soda with water. It doesn't taste good, but it works! Hope u get better.

I would call around and find out about the Dentist fee's. Sounds like your working on a root canal. If it hurts that bad, regular over the counter pain killers for pain should do the trick for now... If worst comes to worst and it's out of pocket.. start saving and just have the tooth removed, it's cheaper, no one will see the empty pocket way back there. The pain will be forever gone. Good Luck to Ya

You dentist will determine what is best once s/he sees the tooth.
Filling, removing, capping, are just the normal procedures.
There is a product you can buy over the counter at some stores that you can make a temporary filling with. Temporary and will fall out if you chew on that tooth. It is good for keeping the pain down, not chewing though.
Ask the pharmacist about the temporary filling items they may have in stock.

See a dentist asap! At the very least go to an emergency room at a local hospital fro pain medication. You can always ask to have the tooth pulled rather than going thru a root canal, etc. Do it soon to avoid infection.

Root canal. A painful procedure where he drills down deep into your tooth and removes the nerve completely. In the mean time go see a doctor and you might get some pain meds.

If you have access to tyelnol of ibprofen take the bottle recomendation. I would call other dentist in the area and see if they will get you in. SOmetimes if the tooth gets an abses it can get in the blood and go to the heart and kill you. Teeth are not something to mess around with. Find someone to get you in ASAP
